List of gears

What do you take on a multi-day trek in the Himalayas?

Trekking in the high mountain with a big backpack, is a very hard challenge.
We strongly encourage you to receive the included service of a porter.
By default we share a porter.
He is able to bare 18kg, with no exceeding efforts, for the hole lenght of the trek.
He is porting the belongings of 2 peoples.
So the maximum kilo you can take with you is 8 kg.
You have to keep 1 kg free for the things you will add with you … during your journey

If you use a porter, you will want a bag for yourself and in addition, a bag to hold all your belongings. You always-with-you small backpack: may contains: passport, water, energy bars, camera, rain coat, cellphone, etc…

The 5 essentials that you have to have, are the following:

1. Good lightweight hiking shoes
(they need to be broken down ; i.e. : if they are like new, you have to wear them enough, so they feel comfy. If they are new, you have to wear them, everyday for like 2 weeks, minimum)
2. A breathable rainproof windstopper and also rainproof pants + rain proof bag for your electronics
3. Water purifier – GRAYL Geo Press or GRAYL UltraPress. It is the best.
(it purifies 99,9% : it filter out chemicals, pesticides, particles, heavy metals, bacteria and viruses)
4. Rechargable led headlamp
5. 45 to 55 liters backpack for around 8-9 kg of gears

That’s about it !
